NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF 3-DIMENSIONAL PROBLEMS OF CONSTRUCTION INTERACTING WITH SOIL FOUNDATION UNDER SEISMIC LOADING
Abstract
A finite-element procedure of solving 3-dymensional construction dynamics problems under seismic vibrations is developed providing for its contact interaction with soil foundation. Special boundary conditions which do not distort propagating seismic waves are introduced on the lateral surfaces when replacing a half-space with a finite rectangular calculation domain. A pulse loading is determined on the lower surface of the calculation domain in accordance with the experimental accellerograms, given on the half-space surface.
