THE ANALYSIS OF THE THERMALLY STRESSED STATE OF A PISTON, ACCOUNTING FOR THE DEFORMATION OF THE BASE MEMBERS OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND CONTACT INTERACTION BETWEEN THEM
Abstract
The available computational methods for analyzing the thermal field and the stressed-strained state of structural members are accurate enough for practical purposes. The reliability of such computational results depends mostly on the adequacy of the parameters chosen for determining the heat-exchange conditions. In choosing such parameters, it is nesessary to be clearly aware of the part each of them plays in the general heat-exchange scheme, of the accuracy to which this or that parameter is to be evaluated, as well as of the necessity for accounting for their local values.
