NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF STABILITY OF EQUILIBRIUM PATHS AND SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS AT MULTIPLE CRITICAL POINTS

Abstract

The sensitivity analysis of multiple buckling load, multiple buckling modes and nonlinear displacements is applied. The direct approach is used for the analytical sensitivity analysis. Examples of geometrically nonlinear structures exhibiting bimodal bifurcation points and a bimodal limit point are provided.
