Abstract
The results of numerical modeling of elastic-plastic deformation, loss of stability and supercritical behavior of spherical shells under applied compression pressure are presented. The solution of the problem is obtained using finite element method and explicit cross-type time-integration scheme. The numerical results are compared with the experimental data.
