THE EXPERIMENTAL-THEORETICAL STUDY OF NONLINEAR DEFORMATION AND LOSS OF STABILITY IN SHELLS OF REVOLUTION LOADED IN BENDING
Keywords:
shell of revolution, stability, bending, computation, experiment
Abstract
Deformation and loss of stability of a thin-walled shell of revolution loaded in bending is experimentally studied. The experimental data is compared with the numerical solution of the problem obtained using FEM and the explicit cross-type time-integration scheme.
Key words: shell of revolution, stability, bending, computation, experiment.
