Abstract

The physical characteristics and the methodology of mathematically describing and numerically analyzing the shell of a curvilinear pipeline with a wave process in the liquid flow are discussed. The wave process is assumed to be caused by a hydraulic shock resulting from the change of the hydraulic resistance in the hydrosystem. To demonstrate the approach to determining the stressedstrained state developing in the pipeline, an example is analyzed. It is shown that for a certain combination of the parameters, the resonance is possible with considerable stresses in the shell of the pipeline.

Key words: pipeline, hydraulic shock, vibrations, resonance, stress-strained state.
