<p>Within the framework of the model of an ideal rigid-plastic body, the bearing capacity of laminated elliptical plates with irregular contour conditions is determined. Part of the contour is free, and its supported part is simply supported or clamped. A variant of the location of the free contour near the points of the minimum radius of the ellipse is considered. The load, evenly distributed over the surface of the plates, acts. On the free part of the contour, the deflection rates of the plate are not known. Solutions to such problems beyond the elastic limit are not known in the literature. It is shown that there are different mechanisms of limiting deformation depending on the size of the free part of the contour and its location on the contour, as well as on the ratio of the semi-axes of the ellipse. In all schemes, the plates are deformed in the form of several ruled surfaces (cone-shaped or flat rigid areas) separated by plastic hinges with a normal bending moment equal to the limit value. To construct the solution, a curved orthogonal coordinate system associated with the contour of the ellipse is introduced. The governing ratios are obtained based on the principle of virtual power. Simple analytical expressions for limit loads are obtained. When analyzing the bearing capacity of an elliptical plate, a scheme is selected that corresponds to a lower load limit. The solution is modified for the case of plates with two sections of a free contour. It is shown that with the same total length of free sections, the limit load in the case of two sections is greater than in the case of one. Numerical examples are given. It is shown that as the free section of the contour increases, the limit load decreases. In particular cases, the limit loads are compared with known other solutions. This comparison shows a complete coincidence of the results.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>жесткопластическая модель</kwd><kwd>слоистая пластина</kwd><kwd>эллиптическая пластина</kwd><kwd>комбинированное крепление</kwd><kwd>свободный контур</kwd><kwd>предельная нагрузка</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>rigid plastic model</kwd><kwd>laminated plate</kwd><kwd>elliptical plate</kwd><kwd>mixed edge conditions</kwd><kwd>free contour</kwd><kwd>limit load</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Выполнено в рамках государственного задания (№ госрегистрации 124021400036-7).</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Conway H.D., Farnham K.A.
